The Fond Du Lac Christian Upper School boasts an excellent faculty, a full 40% of whom currently hold Masters degrees in their various teaching fields or in Christian ministry. FCS is accredited through WCRIS (Wisconsin Council of Religious and Independent Schools), which holds our teaching staff to high professional standards.
All faculty members are born-again Christians from a variety of church backgrounds with a genuine faith in Jesus Christ in common. They have demonstrated their calling and equipping for Christian education in the following three areas: having demonstrated the foundation of genuine faith in Christ, having been called to the ministry of Christian Education, and holding the necessary educational credentials to support that call.
The academic day operates with Block Scheduling consisting of 90 minute classes. Two grading periods (quarters) are in each semester with both mid-term and final exams. Students are expected to take six classes each semester. Courses include English, History, Science, Mathematics, Foreign Language (Spanish), Art, Drama, Computer, and Bible.
Most students participate in some form of physical activity each day, either as a member of an athletic team, club sport, or as part of the Outdoor Education program.
Although FCS is not affiliated with any church or religious denomination, the mission of the school is rooted in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through devotions, chapels, Bible studies, retreats, and service opportunities, faculty, staff, and students articulate the reality of their relationship with Jesus in their lives.
